Objectives
Pediatric course part 1 (24 contact hours)
This is a 4-day course for attendees who work primarily with pediatric clients.
- The course will cover developmental kinesiology in depth, with a strong focus on development during the first year of life.
- Participants will learn to describe the roles of primitive reflexes and postural reactions in developmental kinesiology.
- Attendees will be able to identify key developmental red flags during the first year of life.
- The course will include training on how to assess a baby’s developmental age and correlate it with chronological age.
- You will explore the relationship between early childhood development and pathology of the locomotor system in adulthood.
- Participants will assess the integrated stabilizing system of the spine both visually and through dynamic DNS tests for children.
- The course will clarify how DNS corrective exercises can be integrated with other exercise strategies.
- Attendees will learn to evaluate and correct poor respiratory patterns in pediatric clients.
- The course will demonstrate DNS principles for baby handling, focusing on positions that correspond to the developmental stages of babies aged 0-7 months.
- Participants will address conditions such as oblique neck, oblique pelvis, and plagiocephaly, along with their developmental consequences.
- The course will introduce DNS-based exercises for toddlers and preschool children, focusing on simple positions without differentiation.
