Movement and Athletic Development Coach
Jason Barnes has Collegiate Degrees in Exercise Physiology & Biomechanics as well as NSCA-CPT (National Strength and Conditioning Certified Personal Trainer), C.S.C.S. (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), & Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) certifications. Over his career, he has had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations, including collegiate and professional athletes with EFT Sports Performance and a private gym catering to mostly college and professional athletes of several sports, including football. He worked at the Human Performance Center at the University of Illinois in Chicago, gaining valuable skills related to the physical testing and evaluation of collegiate and professional athletes. Recently, he has worked as a facilitator for tactical athletes and several members of the local SWAT team, running a successful pilot fall of 2020.
Coach Barnes’s training philosophy is movement-based strength concepts based on three tiers: movement competency for corrective exercise, integrative strength & conditioning interventions to improve occupational demands, sports performance for general physical health.
